Looking on the bright side!

Yes, Yes and Yes (Not to say the F word)! The Lock out is definitely on. The new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) is far from being signed. Let’s face it, the real negotiations are unlikely to start before the different stakeholders will start losing money (Players aren't usually paid during the off season; hence they don't feel any direct impact, yet, in term of revenue).  However once the season is (theoretically) on, they will need to keep on feeding their family.

You will tell me, where the bright side is here!?
ADVERTISING of course!
I am sure we can count on the different brands, franchises and media owners to use creative agencies and the growing rich media to “feed” us with great spots and new ideas to keep us entertained and make sure we are aware they still exist.
Just check out what has already been done and imagine what will be done with players having loads of spare time.

D Rose is all in

Derrick Rose from the Bulls is one of the new ambassador of the Adidas campaign "is all in"

Howard, Rose and Slim Chin

When you put together Dwight Howard and Ken Jeong, you get one crazy spot (featuring D.Rose also)

TNT and Shaq (a love affair who started a while ago)

Question to Miami - Do you remember the good old days!? Not so much noise you got a ring at the end.

And one! (Or not)

And you had one but he was worth two (except the FT)

Legendary spots from legendary players

You can be good at everything. McHale and Aguirre play their part but Thomas and Bird should really stick to shooting the hoops

Nothing but net

If you fancy to play H O R S E with either Bird or Jordan ... and you win, please contact me, I'll pay for the Big Mac

Followed by the new generation

News stars but not the same effect. Still good though (the best being Bird of course)

D Wayde ... (do it again)

One told me he now has 1 good and 3 bads (the new ones being his 2 amigos)

Yao, Barkley, Wade ... Eat the head

Charles did much worse with a donkey, how can he be scared of a shrimp's head.

All star team

Too many point guards with Paul, Nash and Parker, sorry but who would complained!

A couple of examples from the previous lock out (1998-1999)

Duncan changing a light bulb and Hill gardening, Sprite certainly produced a winner

Spike Lee against ... Miller

Spike Lee is far too funny in this spot. Let's hope he makes a new one in case the lockout really happens

Hope you enjoyed and that we will enjoy even more of them (with or without lock out)

It's game time!

At a time where the NBA has announced the lockout, it might be good to remind ourselves what this game is all about ... an amazing sport!

Enjoy!
